AAOHN Foundation Announces 2021 New Board of Trustees

AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSES FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES

2021 NEW BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Chicago — The AAOHN (American Association of Occupational Health Nurses) Foundation is proud to announce the 2021 Board of Trustees. Each year members of the Board rotate off and on the Board. This staggered Board membership allows for a diversity of members, ideas and contacts. Joining the current Board of Trustees are Lara Grey Stahl, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, COHN-S, Premise Health; Stephanie T Weinsier, DNP, ANP-BC, COHN-S, FAAOHN, American Express; Douglas G Hoffman, MSN, RN, COHN-S, FAAOHN, UPS.  

Lara Stahl, Director of Clinical Operations, COVID, serves as the product owner for occupational health and supports the COVID-19 clinical response for over 800 clinics and 11 million members in the United States and Guam for Premise Health. As a member of both the AAOHN Practice Committee and Legislative Affairs Advisory Group, Lara is dedicated to advancing the mission of AAOHN as a Trustee of the Foundation Board.

Stephanie Weinsier, Manager of the American Express Wellness Center in the Sunrise, Florida campus, serves both a leadership and clinical role as an APRN. She is accountable for clinical oversight and operations, management of clinical and non-clinical wellness center staff, and collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver physical and psychosocial support to employees to advance their overall health and safety. 

Douglas Hoffman, UPS Region Occupational Health Manager. Doug has been with UPS for nearly 18 years. Within this role has demonstrated a keen commitment to sound business practices that involve the promotion of occupational health nursing practice. He has achieved certification as an occupational health nurse specialist and AAOHN Fellow. Doug has voluntarily served in leadership roles at different levels within AAOHN including serving as a director on the AAOHN Board of Directors. He is excited to serve as a Trustee on the AAOHN Foundation to further advance occupational health nursing. 

Jeannie Tomlinson, AAOHN Foundation Chair said, “The Foundation is delighted to welcome Lara Stahl, Stephanie Weinsier and Douglas Hoffman to our Board as we know they will make a significant contribution allowing the Foundation to meet its mission and goals." The AAOHN Foundation is committed to ensuring occupational and environmental health nurses are the authority on health, safety, productivity and disability management for worker populations by providing them the opportunity to continue their education and conduct research. The Board of Trustees is charged with the task of securing funds to support this mission. The funds are made possible by generous donations from our sponsors, AAOHN chapters and members.
